We stayed one night at a campground just outside of Zion National Park. We didn't have a lot of time there but were able to explore a short time at the campground and in the park. There were so many lizards! Lia was excited to get close to this one. We also saw tons of tadpoles in the river Can you spot our camper? The girls This is how we rolled into the park--complete with parakeets😆 Not surprisingly the packers missed this tiny car and we almost left it in the house on our final walk through. We've decided to incorporate it into our pictures along the way. "Mommy take a picture of me!"
Yesterday we drove 3 hours to attend a wedding of a good friend of Grant's from his squadron. The ceremony was very nice and thankfully the rain earlier in the day had stopped leaving pleasant temperatures and relatively few bugs. The gazebo served it's purpose, but I think it would have been fun if they had done the ceremony from row boats ;). Command Coins are the Pirate Booty of the Arabian Gulf. Whenever you interact with a new ship or unit, you somehow feel let down if you don't score a new conquest. I was told upon arrival that our new Command Coins were the new hotness in the Gulf. Everyone wanted to get a Passenger, Mail, Cargo (PMC) hit from a Desert Hawk helicopter so they could trade for a piece of booty that doubled as a bottle opener. I think HSL-48 may be giving us a run for our money, though. 'Murica! Yah!
